Envision Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic SEND Support Assistant for a welcoming primary school in St Albans. This is a great opportunity to support children with additional needs in a positive, inclusive learning environment. No formal teaching qualification is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Help pupils develop learning, communication and social skills.
• Support therapy sessions and follow individual support plans.
• Prepare classroom resources and activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Work alongside teachers and other professionals to meet pupils' needs.

Requirements

• Recent UK experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in education, childcare, care or support work is desirable.
• Patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• An enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one.
