Job DescriptionJoin our Ground Engineering team as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. You will be responsible for the delivery of geotechnical design for large-scale infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.>
Key Responsibilities- Lead day‑to‑day project delivery, ensuring technical quality, on‑time delivery, and adherence to budget and programme.
- Provide technical input to client and internal technical review meetings, owning decisions and presenting alternative ideas.
- Develop fee proposals and bids, maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Mentor junior staff and support their professional development.
- Develop projects from concept through operation, producing specifications, interpretive reports, construction drawings and design reports.
- Apply CDM Regulations and safety in design across all activities.
- BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc/MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) status preferred or progressing to achieve within the next year.
- Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and investigation practices.
- Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical design.
- Experience in geotechnical design of earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilisation.
- Familiarity with data management software (e.g. gINT, Open Ground) advantageous.
- Clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.
