As an Apprentice with United Infrastructure, you’ll be given a real job from day one, where you will gain hands‑on industry experience and the knowledge required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. We are looking for an apprentice to join our Water Infrastructure team who design, build and maintain critical water and wastewater assets on behalf of the UK’s water companies.
Day to day, you will support the team and some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that United Living’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, operating processes, company policies and all legislative requirements are understood, implemented and adhered to at all times.
- Undertaking and completing a range of administration tasks and general office duties to support the site office/team.
- Maintaining office systems including site files, health and safety files and associated documentation in line with company procedures.
- Document management including registering, issuing, scanning, filing and archiving.
- Updating and maintaining systems and databases as required.
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship qualification with one of our training partners. This programme benefits from remote delivery, meaning you will attend sessions online and will be fully supported through a variety of methods such as taught content, learning materials and one‑to‑one support from your tutor or coach. They will also meet regularly with you and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme.
QualificationsIn order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have already achieved, or be predicted to achieve by the start date:
- GCSEs at Grade 9–4/A*–C in English and Mathematics (candidates without this may be required to complete functional skills during the programme)
- Good IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
- Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
You must also be available to start full‑time work by March 2026 at the latest and have:
- The commitment to live and breathe our company values during your work and studies.
- The motivation and dedication to successfully complete your apprenticeship programme.
Please note, as this is an apprenticeship programme, in order to be eligible to apply you must not already have an equivalent level or higher qualification in the same occupational area, or significant work experience.
