Homelessness Support Worker - Kent House

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in need? As a support worker at Kent House, you will provide vital assistance to homeless individuals with diverse needs, including those dealing with substance misuse, helping them maintain their tenancies and address their personal challenges.

Kent House is dedicated to offering medium to high levels of support, ensuring our residents can transition into appropriate long-term accommodation.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping people live independently and with dignity. You will work closely with each individual to:

Assess needs and develop personalised support plans
Promote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
Follow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans
Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goals

About you:

We are looking for someone with experience in the care or support sector, who brings a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive.

You will also need to:

Communicate effectively and adapt to different needs and preferences
Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
Work well as part of a team and independently
Be committed to equality, diversity, and person-centred care

We will support your development with a structured induction, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to gain an accredited vocational qualification.

Hightown Benefits:

Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service
£25,857 pa / 37.5 hour per week contract (£13.26 per hour)
