Role Overview
United Infrastructure is a dynamic and rapidly expanding business focused on delivering critical infrastructure projects. This role is to work alongside the UI People Team to provide an effective service to our internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Be the first point of contact for HR queries such as terms and conditions, HR policies and procedures, and pay.
- Support managers from start to finish on ER matters such as investigations, performance and/or conduct issues, disciplinaries and grievances.
- Support managers on absence management of employees including arranging occupational health needs, unauthorised absence, long and short term sickness and managing absence under the Bradford Factor process.
- Provide and (at times design) training on HR matters as and when required to the Pillar.
- Support the HR Business Partner and at times lead on organisational change activities such as TUPEs, restructures and redundancies.
- Support the ULIS HR team in the implementation and delivery of the People strategy.
- Lead and/or support on any HR projects as required by the Pillar or Business at the time.
- Ensure that all payroll instructions are prepared, logged and checked in time for the monthly payroll run, including contractual variations, new starters, leavers, contractual benefits, and employee benefits.
- Provide sickness reports that confirm paid and unpaid sickness for the monthly payroll run.
- Responsible for updating and managing the HR ER database.
- Run routine HR reports such as a monthly Bradford Factor report for the Pillar.
- Review and monitor key payroll reports such as maternity and National Minimum wage reports and act accordingly to ensure compliance.
- Update and maintain the HR system’s records.
- Run and provide ad hoc HR reports as and when required by the Business Partner, Pillar and/or Business.
- Carry out exit interviews to support retention plans.
- Support with any administrative tasks related to the Pillar as and when required.
- Maintain and update process notes for all People Advisor duties.
- Ensure that all aspects of data protection and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
- Any other duties as and when required.
