Overview
We’re working with a growing business operating a network of smart locker and automated collection points. They are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to sit at the centre of their service operation, coordinating engineers and subcontractors to keep the network running efficiently.
This is not a back‑office admin role. This person will own the flow of maintenance activity, manage incoming tickets, keep issues moving, and make sure problems are driven through to resolution.
The role will involve assessing faults, resolving issues at first contact where possible, and escalating more complex or site-based issues to the field service team or external service partners when required.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage all maintenance activities, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with company standards.
- Respond to maintenance requests, prioritise tasks, and liaise with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Schedule planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities and monitor reactive maintenance works through to completion.
- Monitor engineer performance, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies, and service level agreements.
- Produce maintenance reports, track key performance indicators, and provide updates to management on outstanding and completed works.
- Support the wider facilities and operations teams with administrative tasks, project coordination, and general maintenance planning.
- Maintain excellent stakeholder relationships through professional communication, customer service, and effective problem‑solving.
We’re looking for someone with experience in a maintenance, service coordination, helpdesk, field operations or technical support environment. You’ll ideally have:
- 2+ years’ experience in maintenance coordination, service coordination, helpdesk support or a similar role
- Experience managing tickets, service requests or maintenance workflows
- Strong grounding in coordination, scheduling and working with engineers or service partners
- Good technical awareness, with the ability to understand and triage mechanical, hardware or equipment‑related issues
- Confidence resolving basic issues remotely and knowing when to elevate
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities at once
- Clear communication skills with customers, engineers, suppliers and internal teams
- Takes ownership and keeps work moving
- Does not let issues sit unresolved
- Is proactive and comfortable chasing people when needed
- Can prioritise effectively when several issues are live at once
- Brings pace, structure and accountability to the maintenance process
- Understands how field operations run in the real world
This role suits someone who enjoys being at the centre of a busy service operation. You’ll be coordinating engineers and suppliers, managing maintenance tickets, resolving issues where possible, and making sure everything gets done properly and on time.
It would suit someone from a service coordination, maintenance planning, technical helpdesk, facilities, field service or operational support background who wants a hands‑on coordination role with real ownership.
