MET Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established accident repair bodyshop in St Albans, for the position of MET Technician. The successful individual will join a reputable accident repair environment recognised for quality standards and strong manufacturer approvals. • Conduct mechanical and bodywork repairs on allocated vehicles
• Perform dismantling, fault-finding, diagnostics, and re-assembly operations
• Replace parts as necessary and carry out vehicle inspections and testing
• Identify faults and safety concerns, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
• Carry out road tests in a safe and legal manner to verify vehicle roadworthiness
• Maintain high standards of quality, attention to detail, and communication throughout all tasks

• Proven experience as an MET Technician within a professional accident repair environment
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostics, dismantling, and re-assembly skills
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately to high standards
• Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
• Multi-tasking capability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
• ATA qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred but not essential
