Tasks
We are seeking an ambitious Works Manager to help deliver our contract for the Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) at SEGRO Logistics Park Radlett.
- Located at the former Radlett Aerodrome site in Hertfordshire, SEGRO Logistics Park Radlett will deliver a state-of-the-art rail freight terminal complete with extensive distribution warehouses and over 600 acres of enhanced green space.
- The development aims to shift freight transportation from road to rail, significantly reducing carbon emissions and road congestion.
- Construction is anticipated to take place over the next three years.
- The scheme also promises numerous community and environmental benefits, including biodiversity net gain, employment and training opportunities, and integrated transport improvements.
- To adhere to the Company’s policies including but not limited to health & safety, equality, standards of dress & behaviour.
- To carry out a range of works as instructed by your line manager.
- To communicate effectively with your teams & supervisors
- Resolving personal issues that arise among his workers.
- To ensure works are carried out in a courteous and professional manner ensuring that the reputation and standing of the Company is positively promoted in all dealings.
- Organising appropriate training required for project to carry out their duties & enhance personal development.
- Lead inspections of day to day construction work to enforce conformity to specifications
- Reviewing workloads, scheduling, completing paperwork and reporting to project managers
- Ensuring that all site information is recorded and communicated to relevant parties.
- Organise work efforts and ensure activities are sequenced optimally.
- Co-ordinating site activities between subcontractors
- Collaborates with contract administrators on all work operations.
- Such other duties of a similar responsibility level as may be allocated to the role from time to time.
- To assist in cases of emergency, you may be called upon at any time in emergency situations to provide assistance outside of normal working hours.
- To believe & promote the vision & values of the Company through your beliefs, behaviour and actions.
- Extensive knowledge & understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Ensure that project is completed to the defined standard utilising defined assurance procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of subject works.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Resilient & Focused
- Demonstrate up to 8 years’ experience within sector in construction industry with positive line management responsibilities/transformation achievements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understand the principles of customer care.
- Ability to drive progress & ensure completion to programme.
- Inspiring & leads by example.
