Could you provide nursing support to people with learning disabilities?
Primary Source Care are currently recruiting for Registered Nurses (RGN)to work at our client's service in St Albans, Hertfordshireproviding high quality nursing support to adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs.
Full time, part time and ad-hoc positions available, with hourly rates of pay ranging from £15.00 - £20.00.
About the roleAt their purpose-built bungalow, our client provides 24 hour support for 12 people with a range of disabilities, in a friendly and homely environment. You'll be able to spend time building relationships with the people they support, getting to know them and their support needs and play a big part in their development. The people they support have many interests and activities they like to get involved in, including
Art and crafts, going out for walks and drives, music, watching films, and simple cookery.
You will assess the nursing care needs of the people they support and participate in the development, implementation and regular review of their Health Action Plans (within the context of their wider Person Centred Plan) to ensure appropriate careis provided.
The role also includes responding to and managingmedical and health concerns and emergencies appropriately.
You will administer medications, treatments and interventions as prescribed and monitor and record their effects. It will be your responsibility toaudit,orderand storethese medications. There will also be some personal care involved.
You'll be working night shifts.

What we need from youYou will need to have clinical nursing skills especially in relation to complex diabetes and PEG feeding.
