This Assistant Merchandiser role is ideal for an individual who wants to progress their career in an environment with development opportunities.

Location:

3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

As Assistant Merchandiser you will be responsible for the optimisation of stock levels for your category. You will have full accountability for stock holding, availability and warehouse space.

• Own the OTB process, driving accurate forecasting and ensuring optimum availability to deliver KPI's such as sales, margin, basket size, stock holding.
• Manage the stock clearance and exit strategy, recommending lines for discontinuation and minimising write‑offs.
• Build long‑term relationships with suppliers, nurturing effective supply partnerships from onboarding to regular performance reviews.
• Identify trends, potential issues and develop and implement appropriate strategies.

Work closely with the buying team and other internal and external stakeholders.

• Commercial individual with merchandising experience in UK food, beauty, clothing or home retail, ideally with e‑commerce exposure.
• Hands‑on merchandising experience and direct supplier engagement.
• Passion for the customer, flair for commerciality, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional data and analytical skills.
• Excellent relationship builder, can work cross‑functionally internally and externally.
• Outstanding communicator with excellent planning and organising skills and thrives in a fast‑paced retail environment.
