Senior National Account Manager – Grocery St Albans Competitive salary + bonus & benefits
I’m partnering with Biscoff UK, part of the wider Lotus Bakeries group, to recruit a 3 x Senior National Account Managers for their UK team. Lotus Bakeries is an international snacking business with a portfolio that includes some of the most recognisable brands in indulgent and natural snacking, and Biscoff is now a true flavour platform in its own right across retail, food service and partnerships.
Reporting into the Head of Retail UK, you’ll be a key member of the retail team, responsible for a group of strategically important customers, with a focus on Grocery – owning everything from annual plans and budget through to execution in store.
Key Responsibilities:- Full day-to-day management of key retail customers across Grocery.
- Ownership of budget planning, P&L, range review proposals and JBPs
- Support new line listings and deliver the promotional plan
- Work with supply chain to maximise availability, fix gaps and ensure all products are correctly positioned and tagged online
- Produce accurate forecasts, use retailer systems and continuously review promotional performance
- Attend external customer meetings, building a strong network across buying, supply chain, formats, merchandising and promo planning
- Get out into store regularly to check execution, understand the shopper and review the competitive set
- Work with the Category team to optimise existing ranges and build compelling sell-in stories for NPD
- Partner with Shopper Marketing to agree media spend and strategy in line with ATL brand plans
- Collaborate across operations, finance, marketing, customer service and NPD to deliver key retail targets
- Educated to degree level
- 4+ years’ account management experience dealing with FMCG buyers
- Proven track record of driving sales and profitability on Top 4 FMCG accounts
- Results-orientated with the ability to deliver account/channel targets
- Highly numerate, with strong understanding of P&Ls, margins and promotional economics
- Strong selling and negotiation skills – able to win and influence buyers and internal stakeholders
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine team player with resilience and tenacity – comfortable handling tough negotiations
- Analytical mindset – confident working with data and bringing relevant insight on your accounts
