Sales Manager
Full‑Time Position – 40 hours

Your role in our Family- Effectively secure new accounts from the Global marketplace and thereafter, manage and develop accounts to agreed targets for Sopwell House.
- Effectively manage and develop a portfolio of network accounts to drive more revenue to the business.
- Develop and establish relationships with all Business Travel Agents, Consortia, Hotel Booking Agents, MICE, Corporate, Wholesalers, Tour Operators, and Call Centres where appropriate.
- Develop new business opportunities to secure new accounts from the global marketplace.
- Assist in the networking within our GDS supplier.
- Utilise technology to create various databases and conduct regular electronic mailings to the various marketplaces.
- Review various web opportunities and ensure the hotel maximise any opportunities.
- Ensure we maximise all opportunities to conduct presentations, road shows in the national and global marketplace.
- Ensure ongoing awareness of negotiations handled and ensure liaison with agents where appropriate.
- Monitor account performance on a monthly basis and action as required.
- Review each account on a monthly/quarterly basis with the clients and update action plans as required.
- Monitor and analyse competitor activity and act upon it to protect business.
- Organise and host familiarisation visits and corporate hospitality events as and when required.
- Represent the hotel at exhibitions, trade shows, presentations and similar events.
- Monitor all aspects of account administration to ensure accurate and effective. This includes the client database, completion of RFPs, collation of rates, issuing contracts, rate loading and tracking.
- Handle complaints or queries with immediate action, speaking to the Hotel Management ensuring thorough follow up to the guest.
- Exceptional relationship‑building & networking skills.
- Strategic & analytical sales mindset.
- A self‑starter who consistently seeks new opportunities, identifies preferred partnership deals, and maximises exposure through presentations, trade shows, and digital channels.
- Strong organisational & account management ability.
- Calm, confident, and professional communication.
- This role will involve travel to London and the local area, so the ability to drive would be beneficial.
