Commercial Account Handler

We are looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join the Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team. The position involves building relationships with a wide range of B2B clients – from sole traders to CEOs of large organisations – and working closely with the Branch Manager to reach business objectives.

• Build and maintain rapport with new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through marketing, community engagement, networking and client meetings.
• Provide consultative advice to clients, fully understanding requirements and presenting suitable products and solutions.
• Drive a ‘path to yes’ approach, focusing on delivering positive outcomes for clients.

• Experience winning new business and building long‑lasting B2B relationships.
• Passion for developing business through marketing, community engagement, networking and client meetings.
• Tenacity, business curiosity and a proactive mindset to explore new opportunities.
• Strong consultative, questioning and listening skills with the ability to understand client needs.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing daily tasks.
