Position: Full Time Business Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • To identify and establish communication with suitable schools not supplied by the company
  • and to develop this into new business.
  • To build detailed and professional responses to tender invitations from existing and
  • potentially new school partners.
  • To present the business to potential new school partners professionally-both remotely and
  • in person.
  • Arrange and attend school meetings with potential new school partners, preparing and
  • executing presentations fully informing new schools of the company's strengths.
  • Providing detailed and accurate briefs to the onboarding and buying team to assist in
  • developing product ranges from design stage, through the manufacturing process, to
  • ensuring timely communication with internal departments for smooth integration.
  • To successfully integrate any confirmed new school partner within all areas of the business
  • to ensure a successful year.
  • Produce supporting onboarding documentation, working with the Marketing team as and
  • when required.
  • Maintain an excellent communication channel throughout the initial back-to-school period,
  • before handing over a successfully integrated school to the relevant account manager.
  • To analyse and report on performance and suggest any improvements with new school
  • partners to ensure successful partnerships are grown.
  • Offer new and forward-thinking ideas, identify and suggest market trends & to develop
  • upon these ideas to generate sales.
  • Attend conferences and external events multiple times per year.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with a customer service attitude.
  • Have a good awareness of garment compositions and manufacturing processes.
  • Positive, confident attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience in contract negotiation.
  • Proactive in establishing, building and maintaining a successful pipeline.
