Relief Security Officer - B&Q St Albans Store.

B&Q St Albans Store. Position:
Security Officer. Pay: £13.16 per hour.

Shifts:

Day shifts only (up to 9 hours a day between 8am – 8pm Monday – Saturday, and 10am – 4pm on Sundays). This is a cover role for annual and sick leave.

• Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
• Safely detain offenders following health & safety training
• Utilize store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
• Collaborate with covert security operatives
• Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
• Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
• Report crime incidents using a company-provided tablet
• Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
• Record patrols in daily activity sheets
• Provide security updates during store briefings
• Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all

• Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
• Five-year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or education

• Previous experience in a retail security role
