Salary

£100, per year

• Strong commercial experience with Type Script and modern JavaScript development.
• Previous experience in a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Senior Technical Leadership role.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS or product‑led platforms.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience working in cloud‑native, CI/CD, and Dev Sec Ops  environments.
• Passion for engineering excellence, mentoring others, and solving complex technical challenges.
• Interest in AI‑assisted software development and modern engineering practices.

• Lead solution design, architecture, and technical decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Product teams to shape requirements and delivery plans.
• Build and deploy production software in a fast‑paced environment.
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and maintainability.
• Support systems in production and improve platform performance.
• Act as a senior technical leader within an AI‑enabled engineering environment.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to design, build, and scale modern software solutions.

We are a high‑growth UK SaaS business investing heavily in our engineering function and looking for an experienced Principal or Lead Engineer to help shape the future of our customer‑facing platforms. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role within a mature engineering environment, where we offer significant technical influence across products and platform direction, a modern engineering culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement, and flexible remote‑first working with limited onsite requirements.

The role is UK‑only, with remote‑hybrid working and just 4 to 6 office visits per year. We offer a competitive salary of £80k to £100k plus benefits, and the opportunity to join a successful and growing UK technology company at an exciting stage of growth.
