Personal Assistant SDS

Hours & Requirements

7 hours per week (Flexible, Monday – Friday, after 4 PM)

Occupational Requirement:
Female (Permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant to support a wonderful 7-year-old girl with her evening routine. She needs help with hoist transfers, washing, and changing after her shower, with transfers carried out using her wheelchair due to limited space.

She is non-verbal, visually impaired, has global developmental delay, and experiences epilepsy. She loves sensory activities, and her family is looking for someone caring and patient to provide physical support for personal care.

• ✔️ A caring attitude and a great sense of humor
• ✔️ Reliability and a flexible approach to work
• ✔️ Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
• ✔️ Moving and handling experience, including hoist use
• ✔️ PVG Membership (or willingness to undertake a PVG check)
• ✔️ PEG feeding experience is beneficial, but training can be provided

• Assisting with personal care
• Helping with transfers (hoist use required)
• Engaging in sensory and home activities
• Supporting a safe and comfortable routine
