Staff Nurse

A vacancy has arisen in ward 2 St Andrews Community Hospital for a registered nurse. The ward is a 16‑bedded unit, including four specialist palliative care beds.

• Deliver person‑centred care to older adults with a focus on rehabilitation, recovery and adaptation.
• Plan and manage complex discharge processes for patients.
• Contribute to improving the health and safety culture to prevent and reduce risks in patient care.
• Communicate effectively at all levels and use IT systems to support care delivery.
• Manage complex situations and inter‑professional teams.

• Registered nurse with a passion for caring for older adults.
• Experience delivering a high level of person‑centred care.
• Knowledge of complex discharge planning.
• Strong interpersonal, IT and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex situations.

• Membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom (including visa or settled status).
