St. Anthony’s Elementary School, a faith-based Catholic educational community, seeks a compassionate and skilled Learning Resource Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate must be certified in Orton-Gillingham literacy instruction and trained in multi-sensory math strategies, with a deep commitment to nurturing every child's academic and spiritual development. A Special Education Certificate is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized and small-group instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics using multi-sensory, evidence-based methods (e.g., Orton-Gillingham and structured math programs).
- Assess students’ academic needs and learning profiles through informal and formal assessments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans to support student learning.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, teachers, and administrators about student progress and strategies.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive environment rooted in Catholic values.
- Attend IEP meetings and assist with documentation as needed.
- Be an excellent communicator able to use a variety of conflict management strategies.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year.
