Demands, duties, qualifications
Qualifications:

• High School Graduation.
• Sufficient physical strength and conditioning to perform extensive and continuing janitorial/custodial tasks.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and to perform quality assurance reporting activities.
• Must have initiative and be able to work independently.
• Experience in janitorial work would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of the chemicals, cleaning practices, equipment and supplies used in the processes would be considered an asset.
• A satisfactory Code of Conduct will be required.
• The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct.

Duties: (Included but not limited to)

• Dry and wet mop floors; vacuum carpets
• Clean walls, furniture, fixed and selected non-fixed equipment as per daily, weekly and monthly schedules and as otherwise assigned.
• Operation of all equipment utilized within the department.
• Collect garbage as scheduled and as required.
• Cleaning/Disinfection of hard surfaces throughout the Facilities.
• Cleaning/Disinfection of Client/Resident’s rooms and other areas of facilities.
• Cleaning/Disinfection of Dirty Utility Room walls and floors.
• Ordering Housekeeping supplies.
• Other related duties as required.
