Full-time | Permanent | Salary depending on experience
Harold Smith Chartered Accountants is an established, ICAEW-regulated practice with offices in St Asaph and Criccieth. Our clients across North Wales and Chester include sole traders, limited companies, landlords, trusts and estates.
We're growing, and we're looking for an AAT qualified Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team.
What you'll be doing:- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
- Helping with personal and corporation tax returns
- Dealing with client queries by phone and email
- Using Xero, Quick Books and other practice software
- AAT qualified (Level 4, or Level 3 with relevant experience)
- Experience in an accountancy practice is preferred
- Good with Excel and cloud accounting software
- Organised, accurate and able to manage deadlines
- Happy working with clients and as part of a team
- Welsh speaking is desirable but not essential
- Support towards further study (e.g. ACA or ACCA) for the right person
- A varied workload with real client contact
- A supportive, friendly team
