Assistant Project Manager
St Asaph - hybrid working
Up to 45,000

We're working with an established business within the water engineering and construction sector who are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in St Asaph.

Job responsibilities

  • Supporting Project Managers with the day-to-day running of projects.
  • Helping to coordinate project programmes, meetings and documentation.
  • Working with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Keeping track of project progress, costs and key deadlines.
  • Assisting with project reports and updates.
  • Attending site visits and project meetings when required.
  • Helping to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Learning how projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Skillset required

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator or similar project-based role.
  • Experience working within the utilities, water, civil engineering or construction sector.
  • Good understanding of the project lifecycle and how projects are planned and delivered.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and priorities.
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, costs and project performance.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Proactive approach with good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider project team.
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in project management within the utilities sector.
