Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse Development​/Advanced Nurse

Trainee advanced practitioner post in cardiac rehabilitation at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, serving Conway and Denbighshire. Practising under supervision, the post holder works towards the Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification, learning assessment, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope. Training mixes workplace learning with university modules and set-aside study time, leading to band 7 advanced nurse. Applicants need a cardiology nursing background and a Masters in advanced clinical practice, completed or committed to.

• Lead and implement cardiac rehabilitation interventions in Conway and Denbighshire
• Provide specialist cardiac rehabilitation knowledge and skills to patients and families to promote recovery and self-management
• Practise under supervision as a trainee advanced practitioner, including assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope
• Work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and effective cardiac pathway
• Contribute to cardiac rehabilitation care across a variety of settings
• Travel across the counties
• Complete workplace-based learning of clinical skills, attitudes and knowledge
• Complete university academic modules alongside dedicated study time

• Masters in advanced clinical practice, completed, in progress or committed to completing

• Nursing background in cardiology

• Welsh language skills
