Join Denbighshire’s dedicated Adults Safeguarding Team as a full‑time Best Interest Assessor on a 3‑month contract. We are seeking a qualified individual who is committed to ensuring the safety and well‑being of adults  will play a vital role in the implementation of legislative processes that promote positive risk‑taking and help individuals achieve their desired outcomes.

To be considered, you must be registered with Social Care Wales or be willing to register.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct thorough Best Interest Assessments under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) legislation.
  • Collaborate effectively with adults at risk and various stakeholders to ensure their safeguarding and well‑being.
  • Evaluate complex situations to ensure statutory duties are fulfilled, whilst promoting empowerment and positive risk management for individuals.
  • Prepare detailed and well‑structured reports in a timely manner, adhering to strict deadlines and achieving high standards.
  • Engage in multi‑disciplinary work, providing expert advice and support to colleagues and external agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with legal guidelines and organisational policies.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England.
  • frontline experience in Social Services within the UK, working as a qualified Social Worker or BIA.
