About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and creative Tutor to join our team at the St Austell campus, supporting young adults aged 16-25 with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic person who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners. You’ll help students build essential life skills that promote independence and active participation within their communities.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver a personalised, inclusive curriculum tailored to each learner’s individual needs.
- Focus on developing practical life skills, communication, social interaction, and community engagement.
- Ideally hold a relevant PGCE or Cert Ed teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
- An Assessor’s Award or a commitment to achieve this within two years is desirable.
- Experience in teaching or a strong understanding of LLDD (Learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities) provision.
- Functional Skills qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Demonstrate high levels of accuracy, strong presentation skills, and effective resource management, supported by extensive experience either within industry or in an SEN setting.
This role is on a part-time basis, 29.5 hours per week.
