We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Female Support Worker to join an experienced care team supporting a young woman with complex health needs, including Cauda Equina syndrome, T5 paraplegia, dissociative disorder, and functional seizures.
She lives with her husband and two children, aged 10 and 11, on a peaceful smallholding in Whitemoor, St Austell, with two dogs, five cats, and several friendly chickens.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide person-centred support within a warm, family-focused and animal-friendly home. The role involves supporting daily living while encouraging independence, dignity, confidence, and involvement in family and community life.
The successful candidate will be kind, patient, dependable, and able to work calmly as part of a supportive care team. You should enjoy a varied role and be comfortable working in a busy family home.

Location: Whitemoor, St Austell
- Full Time 36 hours / 3 shifts per week
Shift Pattern:
- Day
Shifts:
09:00-21:00 - Bank Holidays and weekend work form part of the rota
Pay Rates:
- £15.00 per hour weekday day rate
- Double time for Bank Holidays
- Rates are paid £1.00 per hour less during probationary period
Role Responsibilities:
- Providing clinical support with multiple health conditions
- Supporting with daily living and household duties
- Assisting with community outings and days out
Ideal Candidate

- Comfortable working around animals
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive an adapted vehicle
Preferred:
- Experience of working in complex care environments
- Previous experience in a care or support role

Key Duties/Responsibilities of our Support Worker:
Supporting your client to safely lead a fulfilling and more independent life by:
- Provide practical support for your client and their family, such as helping with personal care, household tasks and paperwork
- Assist and encourage your client to engage in everyday home, social, leisure and work activities, according to the individual's choice
- Support and monitor your client's healthcare needs, including administering medication and other clinical tasks
- Help your clients to access community facilities and be included in community groups, if they so wish
- Understand their communication needs and adapt your own communication style accordingly
- Keep accurate, up to date records of all the care you provide
- Work positively with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
