Support Worker (Learning Disabilities) (£14.11/hr)

In Caring Hands specialises in person-centred care of young adults with profound multiple learning disabilities and complex health needs in our respite home in St. Austell town. We also provide support for individuals of all ages in the community.

The role includes supporting individuals with personal care, epilepsy management, light domestic duties, participation in activities, feeding and hydration support as well as promoting independence and maintaining a high level of person-centred care.

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering high quality, person-centred care working as part of a rota system with your colleagues.

The role is for supporting individuals who have complex health needs (such as Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy alongside profound learning disabilities) in their own homes and in our respite centre.

There are both full and part time positions available.

• Take responsibility for actions and plan effectively to deliver results
• The ability to develop knowledge as required by the role

• Experience of working in a caring environment with learning and physical disabilities
• Full driving licence with a car desirable but not essential (and business insurance)
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
