Position: Retail Assistant

Location: Screwfix, Unit 9 St. Austell Bay Business Park, Par Moor Road, St. Austell, PL25 3RF

Availability: Required to cover evenings and weekends.

• Greet customers and provide assistance with product selection.
• Operate the till and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
• Pick orders and prepare deliveries to customers and contractors.
• Stock shelves, restock displays and maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Assist with store repro and general store maintenance.
• Support the trade counter and respond to specialist requests.
• Maintain a clean, safe and compliant store environment.

• Monday – Friday: 7am to 8pm
• Saturday: 7am to 6pm
• Sunday: 9am to 4pm

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience in customer service or retail preferred but not essential.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Availability for evenings and weekends.
