Technical Accountant; Reinsurance, Part-Time

Technical Accountant (all gender) – Reinsurance, Part-Time 40 – 60%

Helvetia Insurance Switzerland is looking for a part‑time Technical Accountant to support our reinsurance operations.

• Review and accounting of incoming account statements from worldwide reinsurance clients
• Effective and timely handling and processing of reinsurance claims
• Prepare and approve international payment transactions, apply incoming settlements and own the reminder process
• Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurance clients, internal functions and our reinsurance accounting team colleagues in Madrid
• Prepare and review reinsurance and analysis reports
• Contribute to the expansion of automated processes and the optimization of internal processes
• Participate in special tasks and projects

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Previous experience in insurance or reinsurance accounting is highly valued
• Reinsurance knowledge desired, including a strong will to deepen expertise
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) required; experience with SAP FS-RI and BW is a plus
• Communicative and open personality with a willingness to work in a team across locations and functions
• Analytical mindset – strong quantitative skills with the ability to think independently
• Sense of reliability and responsibility, capable of managing own workload
• Accuracy, structured and systematic approach to work
• Willingness to acquire necessary system and technical knowledge
• Proficient use of English, both written and oral;
  German and other language skills would be an advantage
