Accounts Semi Senior
Location:
Newton-le-Willows
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 DOE
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Semi Senior to join an established accountancy practice in Newton-le-Willows.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts professional with 2-3 years' experience gained within an accountancy practice who is looking to continue developing their technical skills and progress their career within practice.
The successful candidate will ideally be part-qualified ACA or ACCA and will have strong experience in accounts preparation. Previous audit experience would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
· Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies
· Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships
· Ensure accounts are prepared accurately and in accordance with relevant accounting standards
· Assist with tax compliance work where required
· Liaise with clients regarding accounts preparation and routine accounting queries
· Work closely with senior members of the team to ensure client deadlines are met
· Manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively
· Assist with audit assignments where required
· Contribute to the wider accounts team and support the delivery of a high-quality service to clients
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice
· ACA or ACCA part-qualified
· Strong experience in preparing company, sole trader and partnership accounts
· Previous audit experience would be advantageous but is not essential
· Good technical accounting knowledge
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
· Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organisational skills
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· A proactive approach with a genuine desire to develop within practice
