Hours: 55 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 17:00, with some weekend working required
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Pay Date: Paid on the 15th of each month
AboutThe Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Cleaning & LAS Scheduler to join our team at Head Office in Newton-le-Willows. Reporting to the Cleaning & LAS Scheduling Team Leader
, you will play a vital role in supporting the effective planning, coordination and live management of Cleaning and LAS rosters. You will ensure contracts are appropriately staffed, colleagues are scheduled correctly and service delivery standards are maintained at all times.
This is a fast-paced operational role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst managing planned and last-minute staffing requirements.
A key responsibility will be ensuring colleagues are deployed only where they are trained, inducted and contract compliant, while maintaining accurate records and escalating any staffing or compliance concerns appropriately.
The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, confident using systems and technology, and focused on delivering safe, compliant and reliable service cover.

Key Responsibilities- Support the planning, updating and maintenance of Cleaning and LAS rosters.
- Help ensure all Cleaning and LAS contracts are correctly manned.
- Schedule colleagues in line with training, induction and contract compliance requirements.
- Assist with live shift cover, absence management, holidays and last-minute roster changes.
- Monitor live operational issues and take prompt action to support service continuity.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, Contract Managers, clients and approved third-party providers.
- Escalate manning risks, compliance concerns or service issues to the Team Leader or relevant manager.
- Maintain accurate scheduling records, notes and system updates.
- Support colleague welfare through professional communication and follow-up.
- Assist with subcontractor or third-party cover where authorised.
- Support reporting activities including payroll information, KPIs, invoice comparisons and operational reporting.
- Follow agreed processes, policies and escalation routes at all times.
- Maintain a calm, organised and solution-focused approach in a busy operational environment.
- Promote service excellence, colleague safety and strong team working.
- Previous experience in scheduling, rostering, call handling, service desk operations or a fast-paced operational environment.
- Confident using scheduling systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised, accurate and able to manage changing priorities.
- Calm under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Able to work quickly and confidently when dealing with live shift cover, absence or last-minute changes.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around training, compliance and colleague deployment.
- Customer-focused and professional when communicating with colleagues, managers, clients and third-party providers.
- Able to follow processes, escalat… appropriately and maintain clear records.
- A team player who takes ownership, communicates effectively and supports service excellence.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.00 per hour.
- Full-time permanent position.
