Job Role – Learning Support Assistant Location – St. Helen’s Start Date – ASAP Salary – £92 per day Are you a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding new role? We want you to join a fantastic school in St. Helen’s who are offering a long-term, full-time role to start immediately until February half-term with the potential to be extended until Summer.
This role would be within the Designated Provision.

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with learning. Offer emotional and pastoral support to students to improve their confidence and self-esteem. Help students with organisational skills, study techniques, and goal setting. Support students with specific learning needs, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs). Foster a positive and inclusive school culture. Work closely with teachers and parents to track and review student progress.
Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance student learning and well-being. What we require:
Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting student development. A good understanding of the challenges some students face in learning and the strategies that can support them. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varied needs of students.
A commitment to promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding. At least 6 months experience within the last 2 years ideally working with children and Special Educational Needs Enhanced DBS check on the online update service or willing to get one Ability to provide two professional childcare references within the last 2 years
