Job Role - 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Salary - £92 per day

Are you a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role? We want you to join a fantastic school in St. Helen's who are offering a long-term, full time role to start ASAP with a view for temp to perm. This role will be to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis with Special Educational Needs in Year 1.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with learning.
• Offer emotional and pastoral support to students to improve their confidence and self-esteem.
• Help students with organisational skills, study techniques, and goal setting.
• Support students with specific learning needs, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
• Work closely with teachers and parents to track and review student progress.
• Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance student learning and well-being.

What we require:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students
• A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting student development.
• A good understanding of the challenges some students face in learning and the strategies that can support them.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varied needs of students.
• A commitment to promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding.
• At least 6 months experience within the last 2 years ideally working with children and Special Educational Needs
• Enhanced DBS check on the online update service or willing to get one
• Ability to provide two professional childcare references within the last 2 years
