The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced ESOL Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to learners across St Helens.

This rewarding role involves supporting learners whose first language is not English, helping them to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Tutors will deliver personalised lessons tailored to individual needs, building confidence, improving communication and supporting learners in achieving their educational, employment or personal goals.

Tuition may take place in learners' homes, community settings or other agreed venues, depending on individual needs.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

The successful ESOL Tutor will have:

* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL/TESOL or equivalent)

* Experience delivering ESOL or English language tuition

* Experience working on a 1:1 basis or with small groups

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* A patient, adaptable and learner-centred approach

To be eligible for this role, you must:

* Hold the Right to Work in the UK

* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one

* Provide two professional references relating to work with children or vulnerable adults
