Overview

Nurture Teachers - Across the Curriculum | St Helens

Pay: £26-£30 per hour (PAYE)
• Role type: 1:1 Relational Teaching | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start

Are you an EYFS, Primary, or Secondary teacher ready to rediscover the joy of teaching — without the burnout? We are seeking compassionate, experienced educators to deliver 1:1 teaching to pupils currently outside of mainstream education. You will support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing, helping children and young people feel safe, confident, and ready to re-engage with learning.

Teaching takes place in calm, nurturing environments — such as students’ homes, libraries, or community centres — allowing you to focus on what matters most: connection, confidence, and curiosity.

If you’re looking for a flexible, meaningful way to teach and want to make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Why choose this role
  • Flexible hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Competitive pay: £26-£30 per hour (PAYE)
  • Meaningful, low-stress teaching with real impact
  • Freedom to teach relationally and creatively
  • Supportive, values-led team that prioritises wellbeing
What you'll do
  • Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 sessions in core subjects (English, Maths, and more)
  • Support academic progress, emotional regulation, and confidence building
  • Create calm, nurturing learning environments
  • Use trauma-informed, relationship-led approaches
  • Collaborate with families, schools, and professionals for long-term success
About you
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience in EYFS, Primary, or Secondary settings
  • Skilled in supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or EBSA
  • Empathetic, adaptable, and student-focused
  • Passionate about relational, nurture-based practice (training provided)
This role is ideal for
  • Teachers seeking a better work-life balance
  • Early Career Teachers looking for supported 1:1 experience
  • Retired or part-time teachers who still want to make an impact
  • Tutors or intervention teachers used to individualised support
What we offer
  • £26-£30 per hour (PAYE)
  • Flexible working hours
  • Access to CPD and trauma-informed training
  • Peer support and reflective practice opportunities
  • A friendly, values-led team who will support you every step of the way

If youre passionate about helping children and young people thrive — emotionally, socially, and academically — and want to teach in a way that restores balance and purpose, wed love to hear from you.
