Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in WA9 to recruit an experienced ADHD Support Assistant for a full-time position starting in October 2026

Pay: £14.25 to £16.77 per hour

As an ADHD Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with ADHD.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ADHD.
  • Implementing personalised strategies identified within EHCPs and individual support plans.
  • Helping pupils remain engaged, focused and confident throughout the school day.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and developing positive behaviour strategies.
  • Encouraging independence, resilience and positive social interactions.
  • Monitoring progress and providing meaningful feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Working collaboratively to ensure every child receives consistent, high-quality support.

We're seeking someone who brings enthusiasm, empathy and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications
  • Experience supporting children or young people with ADHD, autism or other additional learning needs.
  • A good understanding of neurodiversity and inclusive classroom practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach to supporting behaviour.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to pupils' individual needs.

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant SEN training is desirable but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is passionate about helping every child succeed.
