Cover Supervisor in Rainhill

The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Wade Academy Trust and is currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across the Trust.

Do you have experience working with children or young people, or are you considering a future career in teaching?

We are looking for reliable, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our supply team and provide classroom cover across a range of different subjects . Opportunities may include day-to-day supply, short-term placements, and longer-term roles within Wade Academy Trust schools.

As a Cover Supervisor, your day could include:

Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials across a variety of subjects.

Ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and on task.

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.

Supporting students with their learning and answering questions where appropriate.

Creating a positive, safe, and productive classroom environment.

Taking responsibility for the smooth running of lessons.

Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.

Working closely with teachers, support staff, and the wider school team.

You do not need to be a subject specialist , as lesson resources and work will be provided. What is most important is your ability to confidently supervise students, maintain high expectations, and create a positive learning environment.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Experience working with children or young people, either in education or another relevant setting.

Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining positive behaviour.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Strong communication and organisational skills.

A calm, professional, and approachable manner.

The ability to build positive relationships with students.

Flexibility and reliability.

A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

An interest in progressing towards a career in teaching or education.
