    ASAP SEND Inclusion Support are recruiting an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a long-term opportunity in St Helens.

This role is about much more than sitting alongside a pupil in the classroom.

You'll be supporting children and young people who may need additional help with communication, learning, emotional regulation, social interaction or engagement, helping them overcome barriers and become more independent.

We're looking for someone who is warm, resilient and relationship-led, with genuine experience supporting pupils with SEND. You might already be working as a:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant SEN Teaching Assistant
  • SEND TA SEND TA
  • Support Worker Support Worker
  • Youth Worker Youth Worker Experience of autism, SEMH, anxiety, complex needs or communication difficulties would be particularly useful.

You'll need to be someone who can remain calm when things become challenging and who understands that behaviour often communicates an unmet need.

We aren't looking for candidates who simply want to move between day-to-day placements.

Our focus is on consistent, long-term SEND support, giving you the opportunity to properly get to know the pupils you work with and become a valued part of their school team.

Temp-to-perm opportunities are available.
