Looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant role in a supportive primary school?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a popular and highly regarded Catholic primary school in St Helens to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team from December
2026
.
The successful candidate will provide classroom support across Key Stage 2, working closely with class teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential while contributing to the wider life of the school.

- Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom

- Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and parents where required

- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Has recent experience working within a primary school setting
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
- Has experience supporting pupils in KS2
- Builds strong relationships with children and colleagues
- Is proactive, enthusiastic and committed to helping pupils succeed
- Demonstrates patience, adaptability and excellent communication skills
- Can commit to a full-time, long-term position
