Working Hours: Part-time (2 days per week including a Wednesday)
Pulse is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Dietitian to join a Tier 3 adult weight management service in St Helens. This is a face-to-face role based in the community, requiring travel across multiple sites within the area. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dietary assessments, individualised treatment plans, and ongoing support to patients referred to the service, in line with NICE guidance.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing to patient reviews, case management, and the delivery of education and support sessions both in person and online.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialist dietetic care to patients referred to Tier 3 weight management services.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide tailored dietary advice and treatment.
- Manage a personal caseload, including patient reviews and ongoing case management.
- Develop and deliver education and information sessions, both face-to-face and virtually.
- Work collaboratively within an MDT to support holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service audits and development.
- Safely transport and set up equipment (e.g. scales, BP monitors, height charts, laptop) for clinics.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a degree in Dietetics and be HCPC registered.
- Have experience in clinical dietetic practice, including nutrition support.
- Have prior experience working in weight management services.
- Be confident managing a personal caseload and contributing to MDTs.
- Be proficient in Systm One, Microsoft Outlook, and other relevant IT systems.
- Be able to commute across St Helens and deliver face-to-face interventions.
- Experience in public health services is desirable but not essential.
