Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Children’s Home Manager to join an Ofsted-registered children’s home in St Helens. This is a full-time, permanent leadership position where you will take overall responsibility for the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and support for the young people who live there. You will lead and inspire the team, uphold regulatory excellence, and create a positive, nurturing environment that helps children and young people thrive.

Responsibilities
* Lead the overall management and day-to-day operations of the Ofsted-registered children’s home, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards and policies
* Provide strong leadership to the care team, motivating and supporting staff to deliver high-quality care
* Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child’s needs
* Maintain rigorous safeguarding practices and promote a safe, supportive environment at all times
* Ensure effective communication and collaboration with external agencies, families, and stakeholders
* Drive continuous improvement in line with Ofsted standards and best practice
* Foster a culture of professionalism, ethical conduct, and positive outcomes for children and young people
Requirements
* Level 4 / Level 5 qualification in Management (or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Ofsted-registered children’s home
* Level 3 / 4 Children Residential Care (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of Ofsted standards and processes
* Proven leadership and communication skills to inspire and motivate a team
* A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care, professionalism, and ethical conduct
* Passion for transforming the lives of children
