With continued growth and major contract wins, we’re looking for a
Stores Operative
to play a vital role in supporting our field engineering teams across the West Midlands.

This isn’t just a warehouse role. You’ll be at the centre of day-to-day operations, ensuring materials, equipment, and vehicles are ready when they’re needed. From stock control to yard management, you’ll help keep everything running smoothly and efficiently on site. • Maintain stock levels of materials and equipment to support field engineering activities
• Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded in real time
• Carry out monthly stock audits and maintain high levels of stock accuracy
• Organise and control incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring everything is checked and accounted for
• Prepare materials for use in line with operational requirements
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles for civils and cable gangs
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard and warehouse environment
• Monitor stock levels, manage shortages, and escalation issues where required
• Work closely with Planning, Purchasing, and Operations to keep works on track
• Prepare and dispatch shipments, ensuring deliveries are right first time and in full
• Complete all relevant paperwork and liaise with couriers and third parties
• Control and issue plant and line equipment
• Ensure site security is maintained at all times to protect stock integrity
• Follow health & safety procedures and report any risks or concerns

• Experience working in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment
• Methodical and organised, with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Hands-on approach with a strong work ethic
• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
• Basic IT skills, including MS Office / Excel
• Forklift licence (preferred)
