The Opportunity

If you re an experienced accounts semi senior who values stability, variety, and genuine career progression, this Accounts Assistant Manager role in Bexhill could be exactly what you ve been waiting for.

You ll report directly to the Senior Manager and take ownership of accounts production across a varied portfolio of sole traders and partnerships, while being a key point of contact for clients. It s a role that suits someone who s technically strong, professionally minded, and ready to be part of something that s going places.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and deliver a responsive, professional service
  • Managing your workload across multiple clients and consistently meeting deadlines
  • Supporting with bookkeeping and payroll where required
  • Upholding the high standards expected within a growing, reputable group practice

What We re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years practical experience within an accountancy practice
  • At least AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accountancy software, IRIS experience is a real advantage
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to juggle priorities effectively
  • Confident communicator and comfortable dealing with clients directly, in writing and face-to-face
  • Professional and discreet when handling sensitive client information
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade A-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English
  • Payroll experience is a bonus, but not essential
