Project Engineer £40m Cut & Carve Project | Central London | Main Contractor Rate to £45ph Salary Negotiable Based C London (W1D) A successful and growing main contractor is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a £40 million cut-and-carve project in Central London . This is a technically challenging project involving the transformation of an existing structure, with works including structural alterations, RC, groundworks, temporary works and complex interfaces between existing and new construction .

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer looking to develop their experience on a major Central London scheme and work alongside an experienced project team.

The Role As Project Engineer, you will support the engineering delivery of the project, working closely with the Senior Engineer, Project Manager, Site Managers, subcontractors and design team. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting out structural, RC, groundworks and associated works Checking construction drawings and specifications Carrying out surveys and producing as-built information Checking levels, dimensions and tolerances Coordinating subcontractor works Raising RFIs and technical queries with the design team Carrying out QA inspections and pre-pour checks Supporting ITPs and quality documentation Monitoring works against drawings and specification Assisting with technical coordination and design development Supporting material take-offs and technical procurement Identifying technical issues and assisting with practical solutions Working closely with the site team to ensure works are delivered safely, correctly and to programme About You I am looking for a Project Engineer with experience working on building, structural, RC, groundworks or refurbishment projects .

Ideally, you will have:
Relevant Civil Engineering or Construction qualification Previous UK construction experience Strong setting-out and surveying experience Good understanding of construction drawings

Experience with subcontractor coordination Knowledge of QA, ITPs, RFIs and as-built requirements AutoCAD experience

Experience with Leica total stations or similar surveying equipment Strong communication and organisational skills A proactive approach to solving technical problems The Opportunity This is a great opportunity to work on a £30m Central London cut-and-carve project where you will gain valuable experience across complex structural works, existing-building interfaces, RC, temporary works and groundworks.
