We are a special school for pupils with Autism, Communication and Associated Learning Difficulties.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative Pastoral Officer to join our staff team. The successful candidate will support pupils to manage their emotions using personalised strategies, enabling them to regulate and return to learning. This role includes working in the Additional Support and Inclusion Provision (Blue Room) and across the school site.

• Supporting pupils within the Blue Room and across the wider school
• Responding to behaviour incidents and supporting emotional regulation
• Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime
• Implementing behaviour plans under guidance of the Behaviour Lead
• Supporting detentions and targeted interventions
• Recording safeguarding concerns using CPOMS
• Working closely with staff, families and external agencies

• Knowledge and understanding of young people with SEN, including Autism
• Experience supporting pupils requiring additional support and intervention
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and calm, adaptable approach
