Job Overview

We are seeking a Test & Development Engineer at Oset Bikes, a leader in children’s electric off‑road motorcycles and part of the Triumph Motorcycle Group. In this role you will take responsibility for the delivery of the testing & development of several components on a vehicle, including chassis and electrical testing as well as performance validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with development engineers to create test plans for verification of designs and sourced parts.
  • Set up and run development tests using electrical and mechanical expertise, and produce detailed technical reports.
  • Develop test equipment and source suitable external test centres.
  • Maintain test reports and asset registers with weekly reporting to management.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years in an electro‑mechanical manufacturing company.
  • Mechanical experience in a similar role testing vehicles or equipment in line with ISO standards.
  • Excellent understanding of DC systems and test set‑up.
  • Proven experience in writing technical reports in accordance with verification and validation procedures.
  • Experience using and implementing hydraulic or pneumatic test rigs for lifecycle testing of mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Accurate data recording and forward‑thinking to ensure key information is captured.
  • Work through test plans with minimal supervision.
  • Work with international suppliers and test houses to achieve end goals.
  • Practical and applicable knowledge of UK and EU standards and legislation.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week.
