Senior CNC Setter​/Operator; Turning

We're looking for a highly skilled CNC Setter/Operator specialising in Fixed-Head turning experience to join our growing manufacturing team. • Setting and operating Fixed-Head CNC lathes from engineering drawings & job pack documentation
• Selecting tooling, fixtures and work holding to achieve the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency
• Loading and proving out CNC programs, setting tool offsets and optimising machine performance
• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections to ensure components meet specification and GD&T requirements
• Troubleshooting machining issues and adjusting to maintain quality and maximise productivity
• Producing or modifying work holding where required
• Performing routine machine maintenance and supporting TPM and 6S activities
• Working closely with Programming, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams to continuously improve processes
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and less experienced colleagues where appropriate

Knowledge & Skills required:

• Proven experience as a Senior CNC Setter/Operator with CNC turning experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling and work holding
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work on challenging projects
• A commitment to producing right-first-time quality
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement, safety and housekeeping
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team
