Function
Responsible for ordering equipment, parts, consumables, and tools using Government and NGSC-MS resources to support the repair and maintenance or operations of US and UK Launcher Support Equipment at the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT), Naval Base Kings Bay, GA. Additional responsibilities are described below.
Scheduler/Expediter Duties- Schedule and order parts, consumables and tools from Navy Supply System to repair and maintain launcher hardware and components. Maintain proper level of inventories according to established guidelines.
- When required, walks through inductions/requisitions for high priority equipment.
- Consolidate and kit parts as established by material list, job number, Processing Completion Report (PCR), or Bill of Material.
- Monitor and track calibrated equipment assigned to FO-Kings Bay to ensure equipment remains in-calibration and is available upon demand.
- Support tracking and assist in reporting requirements of all US/UK Launcher Ordnance stored at SWFLANT Kings Bay.
- Assist in Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) inventories in accordance with established guidelines and conduct annual inventory.
- Interface with NGMS, NAVSUP WSS, NSWC Crane and other logistics personnel to support logistics tasks and functions.
- Coordinate scheduling and track the transportation of parts, kits and assemblies as required.
- Order, receive, store, and issue materials and stock items and maintain accountability records.
- Reconcile various discrepancies between inventory records and physical inventory.
- Assist in the scheduling of preventive maintenance on vehicles and material handling equipment as required.
- Maintain records of material and equipment on a computer system as required.
- Maintain licensing requirements and operate trucks and forklift trucks to move launcher hardware. (This responsibility may or may not be assigned to personnel assigned to Operations Department.)
- Assists Technicians with equipment moves and transport events when necessary.
- Maintains custody records on all assets inducted into 3rd level repair.
- Maintains account access to various gov’t websites/programs as necessary to accomplish the above duties (ex. WEBFLIS, Navy ERP, One Touch, SWSLDR, KBSLC Portal, iBuy).
- Perform duties/responsibilities in compliance with the Launcher Operations Manual (LOM) and Safety Manual.
- Support Senior Scheduler/Expeditor as necessary.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in logistics support of programs requiring maintenance, repair, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with interpreting parts lists from blueprints, sketches, or mechanical and electrical drawings.
- US citizenship is required.
- An interim DoD secret clearance is required to start.
- Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 40lbs.
- Current valid driver’s license is required.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience with US Navy supply system.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience with interpreting parts lists from blueprints, sketches, or mechanical and electrical drawings.
- A current/active DoD secret clearance.
