A Regional Manager of Facilities at a hospital ensures consistent, safe, and efficient operations across multiple sites. This role provides centralized oversight for maintenance, regulatory compliance, resource allocation, and emergency preparedness, supporting the hospital’s mission of delivering high-quality patient care while optimizing costs and maintaining high facility standards. The Regional Manager of Facilities is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and management of facility operations across multiple hospital sites within the region.
This role ensures all buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The Regional Manager collaborates with hospital leadership, facilities staff, and external vendors to optimize facility performance and support the hospital system’s mission of exceptional patient care.
- Oversee daily operations of facility management teams at multiple hospital and clinic locations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance and safety programs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage capital improvement projects, renovations, and expansions.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response initiatives.
- Develop and monitor facility budgets; identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Provide training, leadership, and professional development for facility staff.
- Evaluate facility performance, conduct regular inspections, and implement improvements.
- Serve as primary liaison between hospital leadership and facility operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in facility management, preferably in healthcare or multi‑site environments.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, safety codes, and regulatory standards.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to travel within the region as required.
