After-School Art Instructor & Birthday Party Specialist – Part-Time. St. Michael, MN

Join our creative team at Kidz Art Northwest Minneapolis! We’re looking for a passionate, reliable instructor to inspire kids through engaging after-school art classes and lead fun, creative art birthday parties.

• Lead fun, structured 1-hour after-school art classes for elementary-age students
• Facilitate creative, kid-friendly art birthday parties (primarily weekends or occasional evenings)
• Guide children step-by-step through art projects in a joyful, encouraging way
• Create a supportive, inclusive environment where creativity thrives
• Handle class and party setup and cleanup (paid time)
• Travel to local schools, community sites, and party locations within the St. Michael, Rockford, Maple Grove / northwest metro area

• After-school classes:
  Weekdays starting between 2:10–4:10 PM (depending on school location when school is out for the day). Classes can be Monday-Thursday.
  • 1.5 hours of paid time per class
• Birthday parties:
  Typically weekends; flexible scheduling
• Pay:
  • $21–$25/hour teaching pay
  • $15/hour during training
• Paid one-way mileage for travel over 15 miles
• 2–8 hours per week, with opportunities for additional party hours

• Experience in art, teaching, childcare, or working with groups of kids
• Comfortable leading small groups and keeping kids engaged and on task
• Friendly, energetic, and confident communicating with children and parents
• Strong classroom and group management skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport and store art supplies
